Detox!
Just like a million other people out there I'm trying to lose weight. It 's not easy because I love food. Fast food slow food it's all good food! There is a KFC down the street from me a Pizza Pizza, Chinese food with the mmm mmm good sweet and sour chicken balls.... grrr!! why are they doing this to me!! Anyhow I'm not obese or anything and I don't want to be. I bought some detox pills the other day called Flush The Fat. I tried it a few years ago and it actually worked. You have to drink alot of water though which is ok with me I love water, but I also love juice. Crystal light powder is perfect to toss in the glass if you are like this too. After reading about weight loss and seeing the million tricks and gadgets out there, the word detox always comes up. We first have to get the junk out of our bodies and start fresh! Susanne Somers actually has a great book out called Sexy Forever. She has a lot of great info. in this book. She's a cancer survivor and has tons of knowledge on health. Check her out and also try a good detox! It works :)

Do your nails!
I used to get my nails done all the time. Pink tips, french mani... you name it. I've given it a break for now because I found that all the gel and glue were ruining my nails. Also having a newborn baby and extremly long nails are difficult and not to mention a bit ridiculous. Sooo I started doing my nails myself. I've discovered a new technique on YouTube called marble nails. Go on YouTube and look it up ... pretty cool. Taking care of yourself is good for you! Try a new hairstyle, buy a different looking purse and play with colors. Who says you can't wear white after labour day? Wear what makes you feel happy. Paint your nails blue and match it with a blue handbag and blue scarf. If your looking for brand names without the high prices go to Winners. It's a great place to shop. I've seen alot of beautiful Guess purses on sale. Shopping online is great too. Check out some of these purses. :) Until next time.. ta ta!!
Happy Days
What makes you happy? Being at home all day on mat leave can take it's toll on you. Hugging and kissing your baby is fun but she also needs to sleep, and calling hubby at work all the time can also be annoying. If you are feeling a bit of the baby blues or even if you just need some tips on how to perk up your day I'll tell you what works for me.
Playing your favorite music will help you feel good and get you off of the couch. Do a silly dance! (just make sure no one is watching) laughing at yourself does wonders. Exercising also helps to get you pumped up. don't have a gym membership? Go on You Tube and type in workout videos.. there are tons! Recently I've been connecting my iphone to the TV and doing workout videos on You Tube. It's great! Make a list of things to do. You know the gunk under the cupboard? the fridge that needs cleaning. Getting little things done add up and will make you feel that you've accomplished something great at the end of the day. Draw little boxes by each item.. it's so rewarding to check them off! Go for a walk. Walk to the mall, or to the park. Just don't drive! We miss out on so much beauty in our cars. When was the last time you blew out a wish flower? The earth is beautiful. These are just a few things that keep me going. Check out some new music and do some dancing for sure. Right now I love the new Beyonce album, it's called 4. Lots of happy songs to keep you dancing. Until next time don't worry be happy! :)
New Mommy
So I just had my first child she is going on 5 months. There was so much to learn, discover and love. Now that I'm on mat leave, Walmart has become my new favorite place. Not just to shop but when I'm bored I go there just to walk around and browse with the stroller and of course I end up buying things I didn't plan to. Oh well. Huggies or Pampers? Similac or Nestle? I've already found my favs. I've found that Huggies has given me less leaks and I'm sticking with Similac which was what my baby was first given in the hospital. I was advised by the nurses to not switch formulas as this can irritate babys tummy. Speaking of tummies I've gotten some stretch marks on mine. Grrr.. it made me so angery because I lathered myself daily in coca butter and shea butter while pregnant. Once I had the baby I stopped. Bad idea!! I should of kept it up because the ugly little things showed up!! Oh well... I'm trying bio oil and I heard vitamin E is also good. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for reading my first blog! Until next time : )
